SIGHTS

COUNTDOWN : 7 DAYS

I start my European adventure in SEVEN DAYS! Before I fly out; I would like to give a little backstory. I decided to do the EuroSpring Program merely on a whim. I had thought about doing the program in the past but decided against it because of the expense. I’m a poor college student. I’m already in debt. There’s no way I could ever do it. I really need a new car.

I couldn’t get EuroSpring out of my head though! It seemed like such good/bad idea. I turned to my FB friends for advice. I posted a status asking if anyone I knew had studied abroad and if it was worth it. Over 20 friends commented on it. Although they understood how financially difficult it would be; 100% of them advised me to go for it. I graduate Spring 2016 so this was literally my last chance with the EuroSpring program. Later that week my two friends Tali, Nyssa, and I decided to skip class and go to the informational EuroSpring meeting. We gushed about how fun it would be to spend two months in Europe. After the meeting ended we made a pact to decide on a “yes” or “no” by the following week. I was broke. Tali wasn’t going to graduate on time if she did EuroSpring, and Nyssa was also on the fence. However, we all decided on “yes” as our answer. I am blogging about my experience for two reasons. #1 is because it’s a project for my Weblogs and Wikis class (#en3177) and #2 is because I enjoy blogging and this will be a great way to remember everything about this adventure. I am going to be posting 3-4 times a week so prepare yourself! 🙂

Although I’m still not sure if I’ll have a penny to my name when I return to the states I’m getting really excited. I have all of my plane tickets, my passport, and a suitcase that’s ready to be filled. I still need a new car. I’m still a poor college student. But I’m going to live in the moment for the 2 months I’m in Europe. I’ll worry about everything when I return. For now; I’m going to have the time of my life.
